Replacement for LM2931 and Cap 47uf/6.3V in UFO round

Hi Pete,

I can not find the exactly the LM2931 and 6.3v cap. Can we replace LM2931 with 78l05 and 6.3v cap with 47uf/10v or 16v ?

If you buy the kit the parts are included :-)

However, if you are building it yourself you can use a 78L05.

If you use a 78L05 the 47uf/6.3v capacitor isn't needed.

The minimum operating voltage will be increased from 6 volts to 7.5 volts and there is no reverse polarity protection with a 78L05 - if you connect the battery the wrong way round you will damage or destroy it.
